National IoT LPWA Network
Devices on the Sigfox National IoT LPWA Network spend most of their life sleeping. The device wakes up to transmit a message and then goes back to sleep.
Each message consists of a 12 byte data packet (8 byte downlink) and is received by multiple base stations, where it is then sent to the Sigfox cloud. A pass-through mechanism, the Sigfox cloud then sends the message to the customer’s backend platform.
As a public, global IoT network, there is no additional setup, maintenance costs or operating costs. Wherever there is Sigfox connectivity across the world the device will be connected.
